What is the Institute for Independent Business International?

The Institute for Independent Business International (IIB) is a not-for-profit research, training and accreditation organization established in 1984.  Currently, there are more than 3,000 executive associates, from every industry imaginable, practicing around the world.  To find out more about the IIB, please visit their website at www.iib.org.ws

Who will be my lead advisor?

Your Lead Advisor will be assigned to you at the beginning of the engagement, based on the scope and length of this assignment.  The Lead Advisor will coordinate the activities of the other Advisors assigned to your projects.

How does the program work?

We start without any preconceived methodologies or solutions for your business.  We do not try to push the latest and greatest management strategies and tactics on you.  First, we ask a lot of questions about every area of your business and your personal goals - and we listen. As we assess your business, we begin to identify and evaluate:

  • Your current and future visions, goals and objectives;
  • Your business model;
  • Any noticeable challenges in operations, processes, or systems;
  • Any perceived threats - internally and externally; and
  • Potential opportunities - both internally and externally.
We work with you to identify and prioritize the areas that require the most attention and proceed to develop solutions and a strategic implementation plan. Finally, we assist you, hands-on, with implementing the plan.

How do you charge for your services?

Every assignment is different, and some individual assignments can be delivered under the AAI's popular Advisory Support Program.  This keeps the costs down using a reduced rate, compared to normal consultancy rates, and can be spread across a fixed monthly retainer.  We can also tailor a charging structure based on:

  • the hour;
  • the day or week; or
  • the assignment.
