AAI's Advisory Program

What is the Advisory Program?

 

The AAI Advisory Program levels the playing field for small to medium-size businesses against larger businesses - at a fraction of the cost. 

 

Being a small or medium-sized business owner is a lonely and tough position.  You know your trade, but sometimes you wish you had another experienced and independent business person to talk to...just to provide that vital second opinion, or to challenge your thinking.


The Advisory Program provides an experienced and independent business person to bounce ideas off of.


 Large companies can afford a professional board of directors with diverse skills and experience, who help manage the business very effectively through a wide-reaching knowledge base.  The owner of a small or mid-size business typically has no such luxury.  They are in it alone, hoping their decisions increase revenues.

The Advisory Program provides a virtual "board of directors" expert in all areas to help you manage your business.

A professional executive director or managing director can easily cost a business $100k+ per annum in salary alone.  Add other standard benefits such as a company car, pension, healthcare, and paid holidays and you are committing to a significant annual expense hitting your bottom line.

The Advisory Program provides an executive director for a fraction of what a full-time executive will charge, many times less than a junior administrator.

The Lead Advisor

 

Under the Advisory Program, you, as the business owner, are appointed a Lead Advisor who is available to discuss any issues, plans, problems or ideas that you have, in any area of your business. 


In addition, your advisor allocates a number of hours (typically 16 hours per month) for practical "hands-on" time with you and your company, supporting you and helping you make things happen.  The advisor has access to the huge knowledge base held by more than 4,000 qualified and experienced Senior Executives, any of whom can be called on to help  you with any special aspects of your business. 

The Lead Advisor:
  • Coordinates and manages the use of consulting time and "hands-on" practical assistance for the business owner;
  • Available on a local "hotline" number, free of charge, to discuss whatever is on the business owner's mind;
  • Researches and offers answers and solutions to any queries the business owner may have; and
  • Attends all meetings (bank, board, management, etc.) at the business owner's request to ensure that the company is adequately supported, focused, and progressing according to plan.

Qualifications for the Advisory Program

 

Companies must be recommended into the AAI Advisory Program and are accepted only if they fall within the qualifying parameters of the Program.
